Cannabis has been part of this journey since 2001, first as a way to manage chronic neck and back pain stemming from military service in the U.S. Army. At the time, cannabis was not about trends or branding. It was about getting through the day. Over time, its role grew into something more meaningful. It became a reliable source of relief, balance, and stability.
In 2002, we took our first trip to Amsterdam. The goal was to experience traditional hash, but the takeaway was far bigger. That visit revealed what cannabis could be when handled with intention, care, and respect for the plant. The quality, the flavor, and the culture around it left a lasting impression. We have returned every year since, not for leisure, but to stay connected to cannabis history, education, and craftsmanship. Those trips shaped how we think about cannabis and how we approach everything we make.
At home, cannabis was never just personal. It was part of family life. Our grandmother relied on cannabis balms to manage pain. Our mother still uses cannabis today to rest better, ease discomfort, and improve her overall well-being. Seeing multiple generations benefit from the same plant made one thing clear. Cannabis is not a trend. It is a tool for care and connection.

Silly Nice is a small-batch, Black-owned, Veteran-owned, family-run cannabis brand based in New York. Everything is produced fresh to order with no shortcuts and no stale product sitting on shelves. The focus is on terpene-rich, potent flower and concentrates that meet the same standards we expect for ourselves.
Packaging matters too. Our glass jars are made from recycled glass. Our lids are made from ocean-bound plastic. All packaging is hemp-based. Sustainability is not treated as marketing language. It is a responsibility.
